On October 17th 2015 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Launch Awareness Yoga center I will be offering the Part 2 of my workshop titled:
Sitting and Breathing and into Being….
This workshop will explore Pranayamas ( technique associated with the breath) and it’s powerful, manifold benefits. The participants will learn practical breathing skills, through the Awareness, Observation, Control and Manipulation of the flow of breath and Vital Life Energy-Prana. It was said once: “When the mind slows, the spirit flowers.” In this workshop we will address some of the basic meditational techniques that will prepare us for that space in between our thoughts, wherein we can practice contemplation and mindfulness. Finally we will discover the sacred and visually beautiful language of Mudras (the energetic hand gestures) and their healing modalities.
On October 24th 2015 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Launch Awareness Yoga center I will be offering the following workshop:
Intentionality and spiritual practice of Namaskars
Bowing- greeting practice of paying obeisance is a physical yogic language which reminds us of the source of Creation within us and others alike! Going beyond the most obvious physical benefits of Namascar: that of warming up of the spine, entering into heat, and connecting the breath with movement and the mind, this workshop will focus more on the spiritual potency of this practice. When done with the spiritual emotion during our yogic practice, our likes and dislikes become mild, not strong, because we recognize the source of creation within others. This is the intention behind doing namaskaram: we recognize this, and by doing so, we are paving the way towards our ultimate nature every time we do namaskaram. On the level of our life energy, there is a giving, or we are making ourselves into an offering to others. With Intentional and Spiritual practice of Namaskars, we give of ourselves, we open ourselves to humbly receive of the blessings of life and by doing so, we pave the path towards our personal and communal spiritual prosper!
